Xavier Andre

Xavier André is a multi-instrumentalist originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Xavier completed his Master’s Degree with an emphasis in scoring for film and television as part of the Commercial Music Program at California State University, Los Angeles. Xavier also holds a degree in both Music: Composition (BA) and Business: Administration & Society (BS) from La Sierra University in Riverside, California.

 

Alongside being a published composer and an aspiring arranger for film and television, Xavier has performed as pianist/percussionist/vocalist for CSULA’s Afro-Latin Ensemble, as a pianist/vocalist for CSULA’s Jazz Ensemble, as a percussionist for the La Sierra University Wind Ensemble and as a Bass-Baritone for the La Sierra University Chorale, Chamber Singers, as well as the elite touring group UNITED.

 

In his youth, Xavier lived in the New York metropolitan area where he began his musical training studying guitar and singing for the local St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Children’s Choir. After relocating back to San Juan, Puerto Rico, Xavier studied violin for four years under the tutelage of Prof. Francisco Jiménez, assistant concertmaster for the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra.

 

Xavier has also studied piano under the direction of renowned pianist, Uziel Colón Ramos, and orchestration techniques with critically acclaimed producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist, Steve Wight. Xavier has performed as a soloist and has served as a music team leader in various ensembles. He has also participated as a violinist and keyboardist in professional recordings.

 

Xavier currently works as a Production Assistant for Audito Media (LLC) under the direction of Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning music composer, producer, music director, conductor and keyboardist, Ezequiel "Cheche" Alara. Through this role, he has contributed to projects featuring renowned artists including David Bisbal, Chayanne, Ed Sheeran, and Natalia Lafourcade.
