Marc Robles graduated from La Sierra University with his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, where he studied under Raejin Lee and Javier Gonzalez. He was a part of La Sierra University’s music productions throughout his time studying there. His roles include Rolf from “The Sound of Music”, Dr. Blind/Ivan in “Die Fledermaus”, Motel from “The Fiddler on the Roof”, and Gherardo from “Gianni Schicchi”. Marc has attended the Montecito Music Festival’s Vocal Workshop where he has sung in a masterclass with the world renowned soprano, Faith Esham. He also received training from Brandon Hynum who was part of the Los Angeles Master Chorale. He has also sung as a background singer for Rachel Hyman’s album, “Singing In the Dark: Songs from the Holocaust,”. Marc was a recipient of the Raincross Chorale’s Vocal Music Scholarship and sang a solo in Los Robles Master Chorale’s Messiah concert.
Marc has been very active in the choral department at La Sierra University. He worked as a choral assistant and librarian as well as an assistant choral conductor for Dr. Ariel Quintana. Marc is an active singer and conductor, he has sung under the direction of Dr. Lesley Leighton in the Los Robles Master Chorale, where he assisted in conducting rehearsals and performances as well as working as a Tenor Section Leader at the First United Methodist Church in Riverside under the direction of Yvonne Flagg. He student-taught at Hillcrest High School under the direction of Beth Schwandt as well as the choirs at the Music Department’s Summer Music Camp and the Redlands Summer Music Camp. Marc is currently the AVPA Youth Chorus Director as well as a teacher for voice.
Marc is currently attending California State University Fullerton for his teaching credentials in Music Education with Choir Emphasis. He is currently a member of the CSUF Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Christopher Peterson.
