Jason Anthony

Jason Anthony started his musical journey with the piano when he was a child. He later shifted to classical guitar, which he studied under Ajarn Somwang Woraprasprue. Following Trinity Guildhall’s syllabus, Jason passed its examinations with distinction, and in two consecutive years was ranked 2nd and 1st in the nation for the 4th and 5th grade, respectively. During his college years, he majored in flute and studied under Dr. Martin Glicklich. In 2014, he had the honor of winning 2nd place in La Sierra University’s Annual Concerto Competition and was named Outstanding Performer of the Year. Post-graduation,  he studied with a prominent flute professor in Thailand, Ajarn Kalaya Phongsatorn. He also received masterclasses from world-renowned flutists such as Jim Walker and Jasmine Choi.

As active musician, Jason has both solo and ensemble appearances with groups such as the Bangkok Music Society, Bangkok Charity Orchestra, and Bangkok International Community Orchestra. He is also the Founder and Director of The Silverwind Ensemble, a flute quintet and RELICS, a church choir and band. Today, while completing his performer’s certificate in conducting, Jason consults and teaches flute, guitar, basic piano, and music theory at AVPA as well as collegiate music theory labs at La Sierra University.
